New Blog

OK, With Yahoo Closing. This has been a real pain to try to find a new blog site. I think that you will like this one because you do not have to join. You can just put your name or even leave anonymous messages. I am not totally happy with this sight, because it is hard for me to get into, but maybe as I learn more about it it will be OK. I also had trouble downloading my Yahoo 360 blog to it. But I moved my 360 to Yahoo and when put in a link at the bottom of this site. The Atom thing is the same as my old blogs.

This summer is starting off fun. CJ and I have been doing crafts every day. I put this list of things to do with your preschool child every day. Tuesday we ran a relay race, Wednesday we made the ABCs out of play dough and Yesterday we made a My Favorite Things book, Today we are to read nursery rhymes. CJ really likes the activities, but I am also having her do flashcards with her letters and numbers. I bought a couple of workbooks for preschool so that she can keep up with her skills over the summer. I am being a little lax on her TV watching. I normally during the school year do not let her watch TV at all on weekdays and then on weekends she can watch TV in the morning for about 2 hours before her dad gets up. But this summer I have been letting her watch TV every day for 2 hours in the morning and then some in the afternoon. I am letting her watch TV so that I can read my book. I know that is really wrong and I should not use TV as a babysitter so that I can read, so last night I shut the TV off and had CJ read a book with me. That did not work so well because she kept wanting to ask me questions or have me read to her. This will work out better when she gets older.
