Vaction

This was the best weekend. We left Thursday to drive up to Camp Lejuene to see my old friend Jen from Yuma. We have not see each other in over 4 years. It was a 6 hour drive but not bad. We left early in the morning and got up there around 1:00. That left all afternoon for us to play and we did. We talked and she showed me around the base. CJ took right to Jen and her son Gabriel. We took them for a walk in the wagon and I ended up having to move a tree out of the middle of the side walk. Jen took a really bad picture of me trying to lift and move the tree. We then went to eat and took the kids down to the beach. We did not play Thursday not at the beach because it was so late. We just put our feet in the water and walked around. CJ was very scared of the water and would just run when a wave would come. After Jen and I got the kids to bed we poured a glass of wine and sat outside and talked until it was so late that we both could not stay awake anymore.

We got up the next day and went to the beach. Both the children had a really good time. As we would build a sand castle CJ would walk over and sit on it and smash her butt into to until in was the right seat for her. After a while we took the kids to the pool because we just could not get CJ to go into the water and thought that at the pool she may what to go swimming. She did not at first but after a while we could not get her out of the pool. After swimming we went back to Jen's showered, had lunch, and very sadly got ready to go. Later CJ would tell me that being at Jen's was her favorite part of the whole weekend.

We then drove to Holden Beach for Jen from work's wedding. I will tell you more about that tomorrow when I am not so tired. I am going to head off to bed and get some rest.
