Santa

Yesterday we went and had Cookies with Santa at Jay's work. They had some games, cookies, juice, and gave CJ a new Teddy Bear. She also got to see Santa. She was scared of him at first and when he came in the room she hid behind me. She would not shake his hand. She did get in line and want to sit on his lap for a picture. But it was only one picture. She asked Santa for a Super girl ball that can do anything and comes with a Ka-mote. I love CJ's imagination. I just had to laugh because the man in the Santa suit was Jay her own dad and she just did not recognize him not even after he read a story.

Jay said that being Santa was a really had job not just because the suit was hot and he was afraid that he might drop one of the babies that sat on his lap, but being Santa was a big responsibility. Those kids were very excited to see Santa. Jay said that one of the kids gave him a list and on the list were lost of toys, but at the bottom of the list the little boy pointed and said, "I would like all the things on my list but the thing I want the most is here at the bottom. I want my dad to walk again." Jay said he just did not know what to say. He just looked over at his employee that was in a wheelchair knowing that he would never walk again. What does Santa say? Jay just did not say anything.

  1. Wow. you just don't think of things like that when you see Santa with a kid on his lap. I would just start crying my butt off.
