What a week! CJ on Friday went to the eye doctor because we thought that she may have a lazy eye. I have noticed for a while that if she was tired that her eye would move in some. It turns out she is almost blind in her right eye and is going to need to wear glasses, as well as, for the next 3 months she will have to wear a patch in hopes to get her right eye stimulated to start to work. I am so sad that it did not catch this earlier. I know that something was wrong and I did nothing about it. I am just glad that we found it know.
Saturday was the first day what we put the patch on. It was just heart breaking to hear CJ complain about having to wear the patch. I could not get CJ to keep this patch on for the 2 hours with out trying to lift it up. She just screamed mommy I can not see and tried to pull off the patch. It was a rough 2 hours. Sunday was a little better. She still was trying to cheat and lift it up. But for the first hour I had her wear it in the car for the ride home from Hewbrew school. I think just sitting in the car was helpful. She was bored anyway and there was not that much to see while driving. I think that I am going to try to do that on the way home from school everyday. In the car will be the best place to get her to wear it. Lots of people have given me good feed back on what to do and everyone is making her feel really excited about getting her new glasses.
Saturday we went to Wal-Mart and CJ picked out a pink pair of glasses. I think that she looks so cute in them and I know that she is going to be amazed when she gets them and can see for the first time.
