Christmas

We had a very pleasent Christmas. On Christmas Eve CJ could not wait to go to bed. All night she was asking me if it was bed time. Finelly around 6:00 I give her a long bath and then we got dressed, put out the raindeer food that she made at school, then we read a couple of books. CJ then asked me to leave so that she could go to sleep, so Santa could come. Only my child would go to sleep on her own. She was sound asleep by 7:30. In the morning she got up around 7:00 and did not want to watch TV in my room she wanted to go down stairs. When we got downstairs. I told her that she had to wait for her dad to get up. I told her that after I stoked the fire and made the coffee we will wake up her dad and then she could open her gifts. The next thing I know she was up the stairs and waking her dad. She had fun opening all of her gifts. She said that her favorite was the iron and ironing board and her new play lap top computer. I got my way with the whole gift opening thing to she had to open the gift and then throw all the paper away before she could open another gift. After we were all done opening gifts there was no mess to pick up. You have to love that.

We then packed up and started our long drive to Georgia to get Garrett. We ended up getting breakfast out of the only gas station that was open, which reminded up of the Christmas in Mississippi were we make Christmas dinner out of things we found at the Chevron Station. Three and half hours later we made it to Georgia and picked up Garrett. We started the trip home by that time we were all very tired. We stopped about half way back and got dinner at the Waffle House. Which is what we seen to do every Christmas because it is the only place open to get dinner. I forgot how greasy the food was. We had it home by 7:00 and Garrett was about to open his presents. He got a new coat and a Rebel Flag Comforter for his bed.

Yesterday, Jay had a list of things that he wanted to get done around the house. He has a couple of days off work so he thought that he should start working on the list. While he did that I took down all the Christmas decorations and started working on putting the house back together. CJ got to spend the day playing with her new toys. She started to not feel good and had diarrhea most of the day. Poor thing it has been a long time since she has had that kind of problem with her tummy. I hope that today she will be feeling better.
