We started summer vacation. The first week I had to work on Monday doing an in-service the rest of the week I really did not do much. On Tuesday I cleaned CJ’s playroom and hand scrubs some of my floors. I could not believe that when I was cleaning out CJ’s playroom I told her that she had to get rid of all the toys that she did not want or play with anymore. I was very surprised at the amount of things that she was more than willing to part with. She got rid of a lot of things. I was very proud of her.
I then spend 2 days doing nothing but reading and relaxing. On Friday I started to get ready of a Thrift Sale. We moved all the boxes and all the things from the house that we wanted to get rid of. Saturday morning I got up early set of the sale. CJ had fun trying to sell of her toys. She was quite the little sales lady and did not want to leave the sale all day. She sat with her toys and when someone came she would yell for me and then tell them all about her toys that she was trying to sell. We did not make much money but I was very happy to get rid of a lot of stuff that was just laying around the house.
Yesterday we cleaned house and then we went to the river to go swimming. I was surprised at how warm the water was. The dogs played in the water and CJ just splashed around. She did not want to go in the water at first but it did not take her long to get in. We were not at the river very long before CJ started yelling that she had to go potty. Jay just told her to get in the water and go. She then started to yell that it was poop that she had to do. I told Jay that we just need to pack up and go home. Jay did not want to go yet. CJ just kept yelling that she had to go. So Jay told her just to go in the water and take her underwear off and do. He held her hands well she bent over in the water and pooped. I was really grossed out by it but Jay and CJ just laughed about the poop floating down stream. After that CJ was just fine and we played in the river after a while. By the time we got home I was so sun burnt.
Today we went to the Library for the Summer family reading program. CJ was a little shy and did not want to do any of the singing and dancing, but she did enjoy listening to the story and making the piggy mask. We then came home and took a nap which because we are trying to send CJ to bed at 8:00 during the summer in hopes that she will sleep in a little, she has been so miserable during the day. She ended up taking a 2 hour nap it was great. She has not taken a nap in a very long time. After she got up, she wanted to paint a picture of the family for her grandpa. So we got the paints out and she had a good time painting a picture of all of us.
