On Wednesday we went Charlotte, NC to see my sister Wendy. It was a nice ride up with no problems. We met at Chucky Cheese for pizza and fun. CJ just had a blast running around with her Aunt Wendy and playing all the games. She was so spoiled. We then went over to the Mall to try and find Father’s day Gifts for our dads. We shopped all afternoon. It was a long time since I had been in a mall just walking around and going in stores. It was so much fun. I wish that I would have had more time. We ended up leaving a little later then I had planned to but it was such a great time.
On Tuesday my car had broke down and was leaking oil. On Thursday we did not go any where. Friday was Jay’s new day off so we cleaned house and he working on my car. Then we went to Shabbat services. I am trying to get CJ use to going and sitting through the grown up service. She is doing ok with it. This is just the second one that we have attended and she gets a little bored and wants to move around and talk.
Saturday we drove to Georgia to get Garrett. CJ did not want to hug him or go near him at first, but after we got in the car and pulled away from his mother’s house. She was all about her Bubba and talked away. Dad had dinner ready for us when we got home, so I did not have to worry about making dinner. It is nice having my dad here.
Sunday was Father’s Day so I made a nice breakfast for my dad. Jay had to work so CJ gave him her present (a Bass Pro Shop T-shirt and an ice cream maker). For his present from me I went out and cleaned his dog pens and his truck. These two things were an all day job. I was out in the sun all day working and was not wearing my sunglasses. I think that I forgot to drink enough water. I wanted to make a nice dinner for Jay, but started to get a migraine. By the time I started dinner and smelled the grease I lost it. I had Garrett finish the dinner for me and I went up stairs to get sick. I felt so bad that I was not able to finish making a nice Father’s Day dinner.
