My baby is 5 years old today. I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday. I could not believe my eyes and all of the love that I felt the first time I laid eyes on her. All I wanted to do was hold her and never let go.
Today I told Jean that I would watch Payton for the day. CJ was so happy to be able to spend the whole day with her best friend. I made them pancakes with fresh strawberries and whip cream. When we cleaned up and went to the children’s museum. We spend most of the day there. It was the best. CJ had so much fun playing and going through all of exhibits. I thought that we would only go from 9 to noon but her and Payton were far from ready to go at that time. By 2:00 I think that they were hungry enough that I was able to get them to leave if we go to McDonalds for lunch. Were they played some more. We then came home and put together CJ’s Barbie princess birthday cake. I let the two kids do all the decorating of the cake. I think that I am going to be cleaning up candy sprinkles for my floor for a very long time. After we made the cake we went over to Payton’s to drop him off and eat cake with his family. By the time we left it was late and we were tired. We still had not had dinner and CJ said that she wanted pizza for dinner. So I picked up a pizza on the way home. CJ was so tired that she was almost unable to eat. I know that she had a great day though. After we left the Museum CJ got in the truck and said, “Mommy, Thank you for bring me to the Museum I had a really good time today.”
