This week has been busy. I think that I have it down how to deal with working until 5:30 and getting home, making dinner, getting CJ her bath, and get her to bed on time. I found that if I start CJ’s bath water, wash her hair, and have her wash her own body and get her own pajamas on. While she is doing this I cook dinner and when CJ comes down and we eat together. I just have to get CJ to stop filling her soap bottle up with water anytime that she thinks the soap bottle is getting low. She thinks that if it has more water in it she will get more soap.
This week my neighbor’s husband died and CJ and I have been going over next door to check on her and make sure she is ok. Today we had Hebrew school. During the Simchat Torah discuss that Rabbi had with all the kids today, he asked why re unroll the torah for Simchat Torah. CJ raised her hand and when Rabbi called on her she said, “Because that is what we do every year at church.” I had to giggle. After Hebrew School we went to lunch with one of the other families from school. After lunch we went to the library in Greenville for “The PJ Library” Story time. CJ got to hang out with other Jews and listen to Jewish stories. The PJ Library will be sending CJ a Jewish story once a month for a year. I think that she is so going to love having books come to the house. By the time we got home from the library we had to go to Jim’s wake at the funeral home. CJ asked me as we pulled up to the funeral home if we were going to go to a funeral every week. But this time it was not for the neighbor Buddy but for the neighbor Jim. I told her that was right but I hope that we will not be going to another one for a very long time.
