This week and a half has been very busy. Last week Tuesday, we had girl scouts. Jay came and helped by playing the songs that we sung on Saturday. We made candy cane reindeer to give to a nursing home. On Thursday CJ had dance and as parents we were able to come in and watch them for a little while. It was the first time they have let parents in to watch them perform.
Saturday we got up and went to a nursing home in Anderson to sing songs with CJ Daisy troop. After the sing we went to lunch and to the library were I picked out several books that CJ came home and was able read on her own with no help from me. The Bob Book series was the one that she liked the best because it was all words that she could sound out and books had 4 short stories so it was easy to get through a story. It is just amazing to listen to her reading already at 5 year old.
On Sunday we got up early and cleaned the whole house. We then packed an over night bag and heading to Charlotte for the night. CJ had a birthday partying in Spartanburg about an hour away for a friend from Hebrew school. She got to paint ceramics and had a really good time. After we left there we drive the rest of the way to Charlotte. We had got a hotel with a pool so all the way up there CJ was saying that we needed to hurry so that we would have time to swim in the pool. We got checked in and went straight to the pool with my sister Wendy. We played for a while and then got dressed and went for Chinese. We ended up kidnapping Wendy and she stayed with us at the hotel. After we got back to the hotel we made popcorn and watched “Horton Hears a Who”. Mean while we got to Skye with my mom for the first time. CJ really loved that and was excited to be able to see her cousins for the first time.
Monday with no sleep we got up had breakfast and went swimming again. The water was not as cold this time. After swimming we got dressed and ready to check out. We then went to the mall. CJ out to sit on Santa lap at the Bass Pro shop, they had a bunch of activities for kids and took a picture with Santa for free. The Santa was really good and Wendy made me sit on Santa’s lap to. CJ waited in line at the shooting game because she wanted to play with the pink gun because it matched her outfit and it was pink. She was not happy with the gun because it did not shoot like the one she shoots with her dad in the woods. She colored pictures and my friend Jen met up with us. Jen moved to Charlotte this summer and it was great to be able to spend time with her. We spend the rest of the day at the mall just laughing and talking and having a good time. Wendy took CJ on the Carousel and again CJ had to ride the pink Carousel horse.
While we were all at the Mall CJ wanted to go with Jen to look at baby stuff. After I caught up with them Jen told me that CJ told her that she would like a baby sister, but that I take pills so that I can not have any more babies. The things that kids will say to tell on you.
