After the snow storm on Monday, school had been cancelled all week. The roads were really bad so CJ and I stayed home and did not do much all week. On Wednesday we braved the road and went to CJ’s friend’s house for a while. January, CJ’s friend, started to not feel good so we did not stay long beside I wanted to get back home before the sun went down and the roads froze back up.
On Thursday we ventured out again to go to CJ dance class. There were a lot of kids that were out but I did not what CJ to miss her class. I got to spend some time watching her in class and saw that she was having some trouble with getting the basic twirl of the baton down. On Friday I was trying to show her how to do a basic twirl but was having trouble breaking in down to small steps so that she could understand. The next thing I know Jay had the baton and was teaching CJ how to twirl. He did a really good job teaching her. It was funning seeing him twirl a baton but it worked and CJ has been practicing correctly everyday and getting better and better.
On Saturday CJ had enough money in her good behavior jar that she was able to buy one of the Hello Kitty cups that she wanted. She was so excited about being able to go to the store and buying something on her own. I thought that she was going to run her dad over when he said it was time to go to the store. She saying that this was the first time she got to buy something with her very own money, picked it out on her own, and pay for it on her own. That night at dinner she was acting like such a big girl. She has telling us about dinosaurs and told us that she knew what a “hypodadis” was. Jay and I asked her what it was because we had no idea what she was talking about. She said when you think about an idea and try to see if it is true. We said, “Oh, a hypothesis.” She just said, “That is what I said.” I am sometimes amazed by the words that she is picking up and telling us about.
