Work and Play

I can see by my last post that I have been having trouble keeping up with my Blog this last couple of weeks. We have been so busy and stressed with work that I came home and just die most nights and over the weekend I am just working on getting caught up. This weekend we had a 3 day weekend so I spent most of the time grading papers and writing IEP’s to get caught up. I am still not done with everything but I have put a dent in my work. I will be so glad when I know what school I will be at next year and if they were decide on times of classes so that I can get the times right on the IEP’s with out having to redue them later.

Last weekend CJ had 2 birthday parties that she went to. This was only the 4th party that she has had all year. Not like last year were every weekend was filled with birthday parties. It is fun seeing CJ with her school friends. She has 2 close friends at school Mia and Honesty. Mia came to the parties to and as soon as she got there CJ was off and playing. Her other friend Chloe was at both parties to and it was fun to watch the 3 girls play and get along so good. As we were leaving the last party a bee flew up the back for my shirt. I was able to grab it and smooth it in my shirt before it stung me. A week later CJ and I are in the car and she says, “Mom, remember when the bee at Mariam’s party flew in your shirt and it smashed it and it left a wet spot on your shirt. That was funny.” The things that she will think of and remember.

Tuesday we had girl scouts and we took the girls to the park for a scavenger hunt. It was a picture hunt and we took pictures of things it the park and the kids had to find them. We had them it groups of 4 and they ran around the whole park. I had a good time just seeing things it the park that I never knew were there. The girls did a good job trying to work in a group.

Saturday we had that girl scout cook out and camp fire. We played water balloon toss and race, wheel barrel race, three legged race, egg on a spoon race, taught them how to put up a tent, eat hot dogs, painted our faces, made indian head dresses, and you can not forget the sum mores. Jay came and helped played music while we were by the camp fire. CJ said that her favorite part of the night was the water balloons, even if during the toss she was upset when it broke and she got all wet.
