This week we have spent the week trying to get ready for our trip and spending time with friends before we go. Monday we went to story time at the library and got all the rest of the books that CJ would need to finish her summer reading list for school. CJ has been trying to fight me on her reading but we were able to get through all the books.
Tuesday we had CJ’s friend from girl scouts over and then on Wednesday we went to the movies with them. Thursday they had us over to their house for lunch. Julie also came with her daughter January they had never been to Calhan’s Orchard so we all when there to feed the animals. It was a fun afternoon.
Friday we went with the girl scouts to the Children’s Museum. CJ has been talking back to me a lot and testing boundaries. Almost as soon as we got there she started acting up and talking back, but when she kicked her shoe at me that was the end. We had ridden with other people so I was not able just to take her home. I ended up having to drag her out of the museum and made her sit and having a time out and get her attitude adjusted before she was able to go back in. After a little while she was better and was much better behaved for the rest of the day. We had a very good time after that and I forgot how tiring the museum could be. After we left the museum we took them to McDonalds to feed them.
Saturday we in the evening we went to see the annual Williamston fireworks show. This year we did something a little different. We went up to CJ’s school to watch them. It was quiet there and not a lot of people. It was really nice and we could see the fireworks fairly well and did not have to fight the crowd. It was just nice family time.
Today we just stayed home cleaned house and packed for our trip. We will be leaving very early tomorrow morning and I am so excited about it.
