Our last week in California, Monday we had a fun filled day with Cathy’s neighbor Ruth. We took the two girls to Chunky Cheese to play, shopping, and then to see the movie “Winnie the Pooh.” The girls had such a good time playing and I had a really good time with Ruth.
Tuesday we worked on getting packed up and ready to go. We sent to Harley Shop there to get a gift for Jay and to lunch with Cathy at her work. It was a very sad day because I did not what to go back to South Carolina. In the evening Sue and Craig took us to see the play “Cinderella”. This was CJ’s first play that she had ever been to. She had such a great time and all the way home from the play she talked about it until she finely fell asleep. We ended up leaving the play at intermission because CJ was so tired.
At 4:30 Wednesday morning we got up and went to the airport. CJ did great on the plane. It was a long trip but we sat by a very nice young lady with a baby and helped her with the baby which kept us all busy on the plane.
Thursday I spend the day unpacking and getting settled in. I forgot how much I hate the weather here. It is so hot and humid that I can not stand going outside. It does not help that I came down with a cold or something that has my sinuses about to explode.
Friday we cleaned house and CJ had some friends over for her 6th birthday. She wanted to have a friend spend the night but I still think that she is too young and can not stay awake like other kids sometimes do late at night. I made her a Butterfly cake and we had pizza. She had about 9 kids over for pizza and she had a really good time. I can not believe that my baby is 6 already.
