Starting 1st grade

We have been so busy this last 2 weeks getting ready to go back to school and then starting school. It really started off rough like always but it cooled off pretty quick and things are not going to be so bad this year. I think that I am going to like all my classes and most of my students. I do not see a lot of problems so far.

CJ started 1st grade. She is in Mrs. Stephens class. She seems to be enjoying first grade so far. She said that she is starting to make friends but that she does not know there names, just Serena who she keeps fighting with a lot to. We are really trying to get into the swing of school. CJ is loving all of her new sparkly clothese that she has gone to wear. I even let her were her new sequined shoes that she bought with her own money.

I have been keeping CJ up until 8:00 and trying an 8:00 bed time with her so that we are not so rushed in the evenings. It is some what working. We have not had a lot of big tantrums. Jay has to get done with work early on Tuesday to pick CJ up so staying up is really helping with that.

Almost everyday this week she has been coming home and lining her dolls up and playing school with them. Told her teacher all she does at home is watch TV and play video games but lately (even this weekend) she shuts her TV off to play with her dolls and Barbie’s. Though she is enjoying playing her video games to but they are Leapster games which are learning games so I can not complain too much.

This weekend we had the ladies over from Girl Scout and started to get ready for the new year with girl scouts. I told them that this year I can not do a whole lot because starting my masters.

Today we went to the PJ library play date. We had a really good time. CJ got to just play and hang out with other Jewish children. The adults talked about other activities that we could do with the kids. While we were there CJ got sick and ended up having diarrhea all over the bathroom. She was wearing white shorts that were destroyed and ended up having to take a bath while we were there to get the poop everywhere. All Lydia the hostess of the party had for CJ were clothes that were a size 4t. We got them on her but they were small. Poor thing, but by the time we got home she was feeling better but very tired.
