Again I have not written in a long time. I have been so busy with school that I just have not had the time or drive to write. After writing so much for school writing is just not as much fun. But I am done with my classes for a couple of weeks. I do not know how I got through it but I did.
The last week in March we got to do a lot with the girl scouts. We had The Girl Scout birthday Bash. All of our girls had matching hats and with so many of us it was a sea of pink walking in. On that Friday after the Birthday Bash, we took all the girls on an overnight camping trip at the local camp. When we got there, I was already tired from working all day but dinner was not ready and the girls were getting very restless so I took them on a hick. I am the oldest mom in the troop so I had to laugh about the fat old lady taking the girls for a hick. Not only once that weekend but twice. The girls had a ready good time and all the activities were great. I ran the center where I taught the girls how to build a fire. They also made picture frames, and flower poundings, and learned a little skit that they would perform for the parents when they came to pick them up. At night before they all when to bed they get to paint nails, get a facial, and I got to braid 20 girls’ hair. I forgot my medications at home and ended up getting a headache. Between not sleeping with all the girls up late or not being able to sleep all night and in the morning one of the girls got sick I was so tired when I got home that I just told Jay to take CJ and I went to bed for a little while. CJ was such a good girl on the trip and she participated in everything. It was so nice to see her having such a good time.
The rest of that week was spring break. I worked on my papers and class work the whole time, not much else. I felt bad that I did not take CJ anywhere special but I will make it up next year. One day over spring break we were out riding the motorcycle and I stopped at a stop sign. We came upon another girl riding a sports bike. I turned to CJ and told her to look there is another girl on a motorcycle. She told me, "That was not a motorcycle she did not know what that was but it was NOT a motorcycle. It might be a scooter, but there was no way it was a motorcycle." That's my girl.
On Saturday last week, we had the Temple community Sader dinner. It was so nice. It was not a long sader and very kid-friendly. CJ Got to get up and dance and there were lots of things at the table to play with. CJ socked the young lady that sat at the table with us because CJ started dipping her Motza in the horseradish and was eating it. She said she had never seen a child eat horseradish and was amazed. CJ likes red horseradish.
I have to get ready to go to ShalomFest 12 so I will finish telling you about this week and ShalomFest when I get back.
