Lots have happened in the last 2 weeks. I keep meaning to write this blog but we just
get busy with something else and forget.
CJ and I went shopping for her dress for the play. We found a dress and I spent way to much
money on it. It was 50% off and it was a
perfect Mrs. Claus
dress. She looked so cute it in. I told her after the play she could wear it
anytime she wanted.
Her school had cookies with Santa and I let her wear her new
dress. She hung out with her friend Rachel
making ordainments and decorating a cookie.
The next day Rachel came to spend the
night at our house. The girls had a good
time running around and playing. The next day I took both the girls to the
Williamston parade, so that they could ride on the Girl Scout float. Jay and I did
not help with the float this year, but CJ had fun riding in the parade and
singing, until it started to rain. The
last part of the parade it started to down pour and we got soaked. CJ was
upset after the parade because her only warm PJ's got wet in the rain little
did she know she was getting new warm PJ's for the first night of Hanukkah. She
was so happy to get the PJ’s and the Menorah set for her American girl.
Sunday she had her Hanukah party at temple and Wednesday she
had a Hanukah party for the PJ Library.
She got lots of fun stuff and had a good time at all the parties. At the PJ library party it took her some time
to warm up to being at a new place but when she did she had fun.
Thursday we took her to the park to look at all the lights
and went to dinner as a family. Friday
was very busy. I got sick and had to come
home from work. I was so worried that I
would not be able to make it to my graduation.
But I woke up about 3:00 and
was feeling better. It was so great
walking across that stage and getting my diploma.
Saturday we had a graduation/Hanukkah party here at the
house. It was so nice to see some of my
old friends from McCants. My friend Martha
and I found out that we share some family history. We looked at our family trees and found that Elizabeth
Calmese is kin to both of us. We decided that we need to get together and
compare family history. I just love
getting together with Martha and will make any
excuse.
On Tuesday December 18th CJ had her play. She was such a natural and remembered all of
her lines. I could not have been prouder
of her. When we got in the car to leave
I asked her if she was nervous up on stage, she told me no she has been on
stage 5 time and she is use to performing for people, “remember”. Like I said she is a natural.
Yesterday CJ’s Uncle Ronny
come down to visit. Last night CJ went a sleep over party. I am sure when she gets home she will be so
tired.
