Getting Ready for the Holidays time to give

This last week CJ got to help put on a Soup Kitchen with the girl scouts.  It was a hot dog supper that was to raise money for the homeless and to feed anyone that was hungry and did not have money to eat.  CJ and all the girl scouts had a really good time serving food.  We did it on Giving Tuesday the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

Around the house we put up the tree and made things look festive.  I am feeling better about the holidays this year and I think it is because school is over and I am able to get back to myself.  Sometimes I just need a little free time on my hand to fill up with things I like to do.

CJ is very excited about Hanukah and Christmas.  She wrote a card that was in the shape of a heart on ones said it said Dear Mom I am really excited about Hanukah and on the other it said Dear Dad I am really excited about Christmas.  One night this week her dad come down stairs and told me that they were playing a game because he had some money in his pocket and CJ wanted it.  So he told her that if she answered question he asked her she could have the money.  So he started to quiz her, he started small and give her small coins for the correct answer, but when it came to getting the dollar bill in his pocket he gave her a harder question.  She got them all right.  He told me that he had a $20 bill in his pocket and CJ saw it and begged for him to give her a question so that she could get the $20 bill.  Jay was not going to give up the $20 and would not give her a question.  So she started to cry because she really wanted the $20 she said that she had to have it so she could buy Rebecca the Hanukah menorah from American girl.  She is so funny about money.  Little does she know but we already got her the menorah for Hanukah.

Yesterday was the Hanukah gift shop fair, so I give CJ $10 so that she could get me something. She was so excited about being about to buy me a present and having it wrapped so that I would not know what it was.  I love her so much.
