Trip to Aiken, SC

Last weekend CJ, Jay, and I went to Aiken, SC.  Jay had a conference for his BBQ judging association that he belongs to, so CJ and I went with him.  The hotel we go was not the best but the museums and tours that we went on were very interesting.  I did not know that Aiken, SC had so much interesting history and was so rich.  We toured the train museum which was the start of the town and then went on a bus tour.  CJ was so well behaved and was truly interested in seeing the sites.  She loved seeing the horses and I did not know that Aiken was rich in race horse history and that they trained the best race horses there.  I also did not know that so much rich people lived there in the 1920 and some of the world famous Horse hunts happen there, as well as, Polo players living there and practicing.  The tour guide told me that she was worried about CJ being so young and on the tour but that she was better behaved and asked better questions than most adults that she had had on the tour.  I was one proud momma.

On Tuesday CJ had girl scouts and I was asked to help on Thursday with thinking day.  So I gave in and helped with the juniors and their country Israel.  I think that I spoke my 2 words of Hebrew that I knew over and over many times.  It was a long late night but CJ had a lot of fun running around and tasting on all the food.

On Friday she had her friend Camden spend the night.  The little girl was so sweet and well mannered.  We made homemade pizza and they played Wii.  On Saturday, I made Micky mouse pancakes and then we went to the park and played.  They got a long great and CJ wants her to come back next weekend.  I told CJ that next weekend is her dads birthday and we need to spend time as a family.
