BBQ and camping

This couple of weeks has been a lot of trying to get things wrapped up.  I have my plane tickets for Arizona and California.  So we are getting very excited about going.  CJ wants to go to the San Diego Zoo this year because her teacher went to the San Diego Zoo over spring break.  At school we thought that was so cute how in second grade students love to do the same things as their teachers but by 6th grade they want nothing to do with their teachers.  I have been working on trying to get some crocheting done so that CJ and Ellie will have matching dresses when we get to Arizona.  I also finished the new curtains for the camper.

CJ had her last day of Hebrew school last weekend.  They had a field day.  It was raining so they had to try to come up with things that the kids could do inside.  They created an obstacle course in the social hall.  CJ hit her head on the ladder and got a big gash on her forehead.   She did not even cry or really noticed it happened until everyone was asking her about the gash on her forehead.

At school CJ got to go to the zoo and have water day at school she was so excited about both and had a really good time. We had are last Girl Scout meeting and CJ got the rest of her badges.

Last weekend Jay had to judge Pig in the Park BBQ competition here in Williamston.  CJ there was not much for CJ and I to do.  CJ loved dancing in the park with her dad and it was just nice spending another day as a family.

This weekend we are camping again.  This time we have not been rain on yet and both Jay and I are healthy.  It is Memorial Day weekend, so Jay and I wanted to do something special because this weekend 10 year ago is when we meet.  We are only camping about 40 minutes from the house, but it is a nice spot.   CJ has been having fun playing.  Jay had to judge a BBQ competition on Saturday so CJ and I went with him.  CJ had fun playing in the bouncy houses and walking around the craft show.  She got herself a new ring and I bought a painting from a very nice lady that was showing her art work for the first time and was nervous.  After that we all went back to the house because Jay and I forgot a lot of stuff.  We will get this camping thing right one of these days. Jay had to work on Sunday so CJ and I stayed at the campsite.  CJ made friends with the neighbor boys and had fun swimming and playing with them.  I ended up getting really sun burnt.  This is the first time we have been camping that we have not been rained on and cold, so I will live with my sunburn.
