On Monday we got to go to the Mountains. We went to Oak Glen and walked through the
petting zoo. CJ was not scared of the
animals this year. She had fun running
up the mountain and feeding the animals.
I then took her to the candy shop and let her get a chocolate covered marshmallow. We then went to a little store and got to try
all kinds of homemade preserves. I got Jay some
spicy hot peach preserve. CJ tried some
homemade peanut butter and started to gag.
She decided at that point to stop taste testing. CJ loved the drive up
and back down the mountain.
Tuesday, Sue and Craig
took us to the beach. CJ at first was
afraid of the waves. Even with Craig
trying to coach her. CJ walked the beach
for a while then all of the sudden she was not scared of the waves and decided
that it was more fun to play in them then to be scared. After that it was hard to get her to
leave. She did not want to go not even
to get some dinner. I had to bribe her
by telling her that if we left for dinner that we could come back and play some
more. We went out of Mexican which has become CJ’s favorite here, and then we
went back to the beach.
Friday, we surprised CJ with a trip to Disneyland . We did not tell her that we were going to Disneyland . We told CJ that she needed to dress cool and
put lots of sunscreen on. we got up
early and took off. She did not know where
we were going but when we got close and the GPS said turn onto Disney
Way , she started to make noise in the back of the
truck. When she knew for sure that we
were going to Disney she got so excited. The smile on her face did not stop all day
long. We got to see several of the shows
and ride rides. We stayed and watched
the firework show and then had to leave.
It was very late when we got home and I was so tired. So on Saturday we just rested. It was defiantly a day that I will never
forget.
