3rd grade

We have been busy this last couple of weeks getting ready to start school and starting.  The weekend before we started back CJ and I went to the Riverbank Zoo with an old friend of mine that I use to work with before she moved to North Carolina.  This was the first time I had been to Colombia to the Zoo but CJ’s second time.  She was telling us all about the zoo.  Mason was fallowing CJ around and wanted to try everything that she was doing.  CJ was so good with him and made sure that she including him, but that he would not get hurt with climbing on things that she was.  Jenn was happy that she did not have to ride the train with Mason and that CJ could go with him and CJ was having fun riding the train with Mason.  I forgot how much I really enjoyed spending time with Jenn.  I miss working with her.  It is nice to get together with great friends.

On Saturday we had a pool party for the girl scouts. It was for registration and to say good bye to Julie, because she was going to be moving to Florida.  I made cupcakes that were beach themed for the party. It ended up raining right at the end of the party which was good because it got all the kids out of the pool and wanting to leave.  By 7:00 when the party was over we were all cleaned up and everyone had gone home.  CJ enjoyed swimming and had fun seeing her Girl Scout friends.

My first week back to work CJ stayed with the neighbor Hilda.  I had a busy a week getting ready for school.  On Monday CJ started the 3rd grade, she was not happy about starting school.  This was the first year that she was not happy about starting school, but she made it though the week.  She told me that she now wanted to me a scientist as her future career.  She wanted to be a scientist the blows things up.  I have no idea were she gets these things.  She also should that she wasn't to build a volcano that will blow up ketchup.  I can see that 3rd grade is going to be interesting.

This weekend Jay’s brother came to visit.  Jay and Ron went fishing and working on fixing our new camper. CJ and Jay loved having him here.  Saturday CJ and I went to the Spring Water festive in the park.  CJ had fun riding every ride that spun around and made you dizzy.  I was surprised that she even rode the graviton ride that was for bigger kids.  She loved it and as not scared at all.

Today CJ had her 1st day at Hebrew school.  She did say that she enjoyed being at Hebrew school.  They had there annual waffle breakfast.
