The last couple of weeks have been busy, with Hebrew school, CJ’s acting classes, girl scouts, and birthday parties. Jay also got the flu and has been very sick; he also started his new position at work and is much happier with it. We also have been trying to get the camper ready for our camping trip in two weeks.
Last Saturday, We all went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Jay and I would always go there every Saturday for breakfast when we lived in Yuma. It was so fun to go as a family. CJ and Jay played a game of checkers while I talked to Cathy on the phone. It was just one of those pleasant family times.
On Saturday and Sunday, CJ had birthday parties with friends. Saturday, we went to a skating party and Sunday to the park. I made crocheted purses for the girls. I think that they liked them they seemed to be very happy with them. One of the girls at one of the parties told her mom that she wished that she crocheted so that she could get one. Little did she know but I had made her one for her birthday party that we missed.
During girl scouts, Mrs. Thurman one of CJ’s teacher came to speak about being an author. She told me that CJ is very quiet in her class and does not ask so many questions like she was during girl scouts. I also had CJ’s parent teacher conference. Her teacher told me that she was doing well. Her Language Map score was very low and her reading score dropped from last year but other than that she is doing well. I had to laugh because CJ was just one percentage point from getting an A in language arts. She has an A in very thing else. I think that I am ok with CJ making the A/B honor roll instead of the A honor roll.
This Saturday, CJ and I with Brittney and Claire went to the American Girl Club meeting at the Anderson museum. They introduced a historic American girl doll and did games and activities that that girl would have done in her time. It was so great I think that we are going to do it again next month. We then went to Denver Downs which is a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and fall activities place. The girls had such a great time. CJ when we first got there run off and I could not find her. I was just so scared and I had to go and have them called for her. She came running but I had to put her on time out so that she learned that it a big place like this she could not fun off. After that trouble we had a lot of fun and a lot of walking. The girls still had their American girls with them and at one point CJ lost her dolls hat. Thank goodness I take a lot of picture because I was able to pin point the exact time it was lost. Some one turned it in to lost and found so we were able to get it back. CJ and I were very happy.
Sunday we cleaned house and worked on the camper. CJ was lying around the house and said that she was cold. I kept checking her temperature but she was not running a fever or anything, but by the evening she started running a 102 temperature. I felt so bad for her. Today we are going to stay home and go to the doctor.
