The holidays have begun.
We have been having a very pleasant start to Hanukkah. Last weekend CJ and the Girl Scout went to
the opening of the Park tree lighting and give out Cookies and juice. The girls had more fun running around
watching the show because Mrs. Pack was singing, and eating cookies then they
did giving out cookies. On Sunday they had
the Hanukkah carnival at Hebrew School. All
the children had a really good time. I
was so proud of CJ when I heard him call her name to answer the question on
what that word Hanukkah meant. She got
the answer correct.
On Wednesday we had the day off school so we made challah and
all the other good stuff for Hanukkah.
Only Martha and Martina come for dinner.
It was very small but very nice.
For the Matza ball soup I had to make the Matza’s by hand because my mix
was bad. I think that I will always make
them by hand because they were really good.
CJ still did not eat them, but these days I cannot get her to eat
anything. This is driving her dad
nuts.
Thursday instead of having a Thanksgiving dinner we drove to
Georgia to give Garrett the truck and to see him. He had to go to dinner at his Grandmothers so
we got a hotel, because I did not what to make the drive all the way back that
day. We checked in and then went to the
Bass Pro Shop. CJ got to see Santa and had
a really good time playing in the Kids game area. She found that she loved shooting arrows at
the ducks. We were lucky that there was
no one else in line so she shoot until her arm hurt. Garrett met us at the Bass Pro shop and we
all went to dinner at the local Chinese restaurant. The food there was not very good and I kind
of missed having turkey on Thanksgiving.
We came back to the hotel and light the candles for Hanukkah and opened
a present.
The next day we got up and went to High Falls Park and Dausets
Trail. Garrett did not come with us but
we had a great time. It was like all the
animals at Dausets Trail were waiting for us so that they could perform. We even saw the deer and the Buffalo get into
a head butting match. The buffalo won. On the way home we stopped at the Bass Pro
shop in Atlanta. It was so packed because
it was Black Friday. CJ still wanted to
play the games and they had a carousel there that she got to ride. We then came home and rested. That night for Hanukkah we have CJ her new coat. It was one that she wanted, so when she opened
the box she said that this is “THE COAT.”
It was just too cute and she remembered that she picked it out really.
Sunday we went to the Hanukkah party at temple and CJ had so
much fun playing with her friends. I
have been making more crocheted things and selling them. It is kind of a fun thing. CJ and I have been having a great Hanukkah.
