New Year

January has been a slow peaceful year we had planned on spending New Years Eve with friends but CJ got Lice for the second time.  This was not fun and CJ cried because she was not happy about not being able to go out and having to go through the cleanup process again.   Think that she is getting them from school, but this time we really worked hard at cleaning up and I bought her stuff to use in her hair so that she would not get it again.

Since we were at home CJ has wanted to see what all the fuss is over Star Wars.  Ever since the new movie came out that is all everyone is talking about.  So New Years eve while I was doing treatments of CJ hair we let her watch the original Star Wars movies.  She loved them. 

The Saturday after New Year’s CJ and I had a girl’s day.  After all the mess with the Lice I gave in to having her hair cut again.  CJ wanted to still go to Snip-its to get her hair cut.  I asked if she wanted to go to a big girl Salon, but she said not she preferred Snip-it, it was more fun.  She was able to have 10 inches cut off and donated it.  This time we donated it to the Pantene Company.   She loved her hair short and so does Jay.  I thought that it looked cute this time.  We then went and had our nails done and went out for lunch just the two of us.  It had been a while since we had been able to have a mommy daughter day. 

Sunday CJ wanted to check out the choir at temple.  During the summer she had been invited to join the choir but she was not sure if she wanted to because she was not sure what they did.  So we went and check it out she joined right it and was ready to start.  We told me that she really liked it.  The next day she even went up to her principal at school and told her that she was now in 3 choirs: Recorder Choir, Palmetto Singers, and now the Choir at temple.  CJ share does love to sing.

My friend Brittney asked me to join a Zumba class with her.  So I went to this class.  I just do not know all the steps so I was all over the place.  I felt so funny.  CJ came with me and she loved it she said that she wanted to go every week with me.  I am just not sure about this Zumba thing I do not know if I have enough coordination anymore for things like that.

On the 13^th of January my mom and Uncle John came to visit while they were passing through going back to Yuma.  My mom is moving back to Yuma because North Carolina is just not working out.  Wendy will be moving with her in a couple of weeks.  It was so nice to see Uncle John, I had not seen him in 10 years. CJ was so excited about them coming that she had to wear her best dress to school so that when they picked her up she looked beautiful. I took them out for a nice dinner while CJ was in Hebrew school, then we came back to the house and talked most of the night.  The next day they decided to stay so that I could help them set up some of their technology and so that they could go have lunch with CJ at school. They did not have lunch with CJ because mom lost her keys, but we were able to get their technology set up so that they will be able to contact people when they were on the road. 

Saturday, Jay had a BBQ meeting in Columbia so we went to Columbia with him.  Jay was having a very off day.  When he made our hotel reservations he put in the wrong day and when we tried to change them they at first gave us the run around, but then were able to fix the mistake.  We took off and made it to the restaurant were the meeting was and CJ and I found a mall to go to.  The Mall only had 2 stores, Belks and Barns and Nobles.   It was very disappointing but CJ was in search of Star Wars stuff and Barns and Nobles had a lot of it so she was happy.  She got herself a book on the Millennial Falcon and a medal of the ship to put together.  We then started back to the restaurant and came upon a little festival.  We stopped and listen to music and looked at all the venders.  I got CJ some Goats Cheese and popcorn.  We then went back to the restaurant because CJ wanted to eat BBQ to and Maurice’s were the BBQ meeting was at was a famous BBQ place.  We then went to the hotel and checked in.  We decided that we would take CJ to the South Carolina History Museum.  We all loved it.  We even went to our first 4D movie.  I jumped when water was sprayed in my face and Jay jumped when the snake wigged under his feet (It was just a hose that moved).  We got to see so many different things.  CJ and I even got to look at the moon through a telescope.  When we left we decided to not go out for a big dinner and just pick up fast food.  Jay went into Chick-fil-A and get us sandwiches on the way out he got in the car next to our thinking it was our car.  I laughed so hard, he just said that he was really having a bad day.  He said that the car was a CR-V and he opened the door did not see us and then released that he was at the wrong car.  After we got got back to the hotel and eat I took CJ to play in the pool.  We all had a really good time.  The next day we came home and CJ and I went to go to Choir practice but Jay had left the house to go medal detecting with my keys.  Thank goodness   for spare keys.  When I was able to get a hold of Jay, he just said he was having a rough weekend.  I just had to laugh.
