Party, Party, go go

Last week was one very busy week. I was not sure if I even had time to sit and breath. Tuesday we had our PTA meeting at the school. We are required to go to all evening PTA’s as part of our contract. So CJ and I stayed in town and went to dinner at Chick-fil-A. CJ got to play with Sydney. The meeting was only 5 minutes which was not to bad it was just tiring having to stay at school until 6:35 at night.

Thursday was CJ’s open house at Daycare. She showed us all of her art work and Dad got to see the school and meet her teacher. Her teacher told us that she is more than really for kindergarten even though I am worried that she does not know all of her letters or letter sounds. CJ does know a little over half of them and some of her letters she knows the sound they make but not their name. Her teacher told me not to worry that she is only 4 and that just one day the light will click and she will get it and be reading away. I so hope so. I worry after working with children everyday that can not read in middle school. But we do flashcards at home a couple time a week so I hope that helps.

Friday was the last Tot Shabbat of the year at temple. We had a good time. I hate that they stop them so soon in the year and do not have them during the summer months.

On Saturday we went to another birthday party. CJ has had a birthday party every weekend for the last 4 weeks. Everyone in her class is turning 5. So CJ can not wait to turn 5. At this party CJ got to play in the gym at her school and run around with her friends. They made hats, but the thing that CJ looked forward to the most was getting the cotton candy.

Sunday was Hebrew School. CJ learned about Israel. They made flags and got to watch a little movie about Israel. After that we went to lunch with Roure’s Family (The little girl who’s mother is in Iraq and we are the host Jewish Family for. The family that she is staying with is not Jewish, but Roure and her mom are. So we take Roure to Hebrew school with us and to Tot Shabbat.) Nica the lady that Roure is living with until her mom gets back has 3 other children., so CJ had lots of fun at McDonalds with all 4 kids. After lunch we came home. Jay and my dad were working on there 4 wheelers. Because of all run that we have had they thought that it would be fun to pack a picnic and go mudding. We all had a really good time. CJ liked running though the mud until she started to get really tired because it was getting past her bed time. Then every time Jay went though the mud and it got on her she started to cry. I just told the boys that we had to get her home so that she could get to sleep. She would like mudding better when she was not so tired.
