End of School Year

We have had so much happen in the last couple of weeks. We had our last day of Hebrew school during the last day we had a field day. CJ was winning the sack race until she fell and skinned her knee. She was very good about it she cried some, we went to the bathroom cleaned it up and she was back to wanting to do the games and play.
We had our last Girl Scout meeting, and then on Friday we took the girls to Build-A-Bear were they got to make a girl scout bear. The bears were so cute and came with Brownie uniforms. CJ loves her bear and took it camping with us the fallowing weekend.
The next week we were wrapping up the school year. CJ on Thursday had a skating party for school. Rachel’s grandmother (Rachel is one of CJ’s friends) bought all the girls these light up pacifiers. I thought that it was so bad seeing all this 1st graders with pacifiers in there mouths but they just loved them. CJ loved her so much that she would not turn it off until the batteries were died.
Over the Memorial Day weekend we took CJ for her 2nd camping trip over. It was in the mountains of North Carolina. We went with Ron and Cathy, a couple of their friends also come with us. It was so much fun and I did nothing over the whole weekend. No phone and internet really did not work, so I sat and watch the fire and talked. CJ played with all the little girls that were with us. At times it was hard for Jay and I just to let her run off in the camp ground with the other girls, but we remembered when we were a kid that was the fun part of camping. We all had a really good time.
On our way back home we pick up my mom who will be staying with us for the summer and helping with CJ. I put her to work helping as soon as we got home. She picked up CJ all week from school and helped me with dinner and the house, because we had all kind of activities going on. CJ had her Dance recital on Wednesday and Thursday was her awards day. On awards day CJ got an award for being on “A” honor roll all year, having over 20 AR points (Accelerated Reading), highest average in Math, science, social studies, and ELA. She also got an award from her teacher for the most helpful. I was so proud for how smart she is and what a good student she is.
On Friday CJ had a half day at school were she got to meet her new teacher. Her 2nd grade teacher will be Mrs. Pack. I hear that she is really good. I so help so. This weekend we did not do much and it was nice just sit for once.
