Mother Daughter Weekend

Last week I finished up my last class.  This was the worst class that I have taken.  The professor was offal, I do not think that I learned what I needed to and I did not get an A in the class because he was not clear on what he wanted for his assignments.  I got an A on the midterm but he did not give us a rubric for the assignments so I was not really share what he wanted.  I was just so glad on Friday when the class was done.
On Friday CJ, Mom, and I went on our mother-daughter weekend.  I took CJ to the American Girl doll store in Atlanta, GA. We got a hotel for the night (but the Hotel was not very nice for a Marriott I was surprised), we got to the store and it was overwhelming.  CJ had so much fun asking for stuff and I think that I had to say maybe for Hanukah or next years birthday about a hundred times.  She just had so much fun looking at all the stuff and playing with some of the things that they had out.  I then took her to the Bistro their in the store.  They had a setting for CJ’s Rebecca doll and they really catered to CJ and her doll.  The food was great and CJ had a really good time.  Mom did not like her meal at all and all the noise did not make it fun for her.  At the store I got CJ an American girl shirt and mom got a matching for Rebecca.  CJ and Rebecca looked so cute in their matching shirts.  We then went into the Mall and went to Sophora, tried on makeup, to bath and body works, and then to Claire’s were I found a locket for CJ so that she could put a picture of Bear in it.  She wears the locket everywhere along with the necklace that Miles made for her for her birthday.  She also shows everyone the picture of Bear and her that I put in it.  I also got a watch necklace for mom and she has been wearing it everyday to.
After the Mall we went back to the hotel and went swimming.  We did not swim for very long because it was so late.  In the morning they did not have breakfast at the hotel so we went to Einstein’s Bagels for breakfast.  CJ was so happy about getting a Chocolate chip bagel.  We then went back to the Mall so that I could get my watch fixed and we wanted to get mom’s hair cut but were not able to do that.
We then headed to Rome, GA.  It was raining hard but we had no real problems.  We went to the information center and got lots of good information on were to go.  I got mom a shirt that said Rome, GA on it.  We then went to lunch at this really cool family style restaurant.  There everyone was happy with the food.  After we left there we went to the library were we found so much fun information about or family.  We found were my great grandmother was buried, were her grandfather that raised her was buried, found out that my great grandmother bought her grandfather’s house, that Dr, John Kincaid for a physician in Rome and had his house robbed at one time.  There was so much great information in the library that we could have spend hours there but they were about to close so we had to leave.  We then went to the place were Great grandmother’s house was and it was a parking lot so we took some of her Ivey that she planted and was still there.  We then went to the cemetery but could not find her plot even after finding it on the map at the library.  It was sad that we could not find it but it was ok.  We then were going to go to Helen, GA but I changed my mind and we just come on home instead.  It was a fun interesting weekend.
On Monday and Tuesday I started doing some of my internship work and worked all day on Monday and half a day on Tuesday.  Wednesday morning I took mom to the airport so that she could go home.  It was so nice having her here and we were all sad to see her go home.  Jay said that on Wednesday when he came downstairs, CJ was sitting at the island in the kitchen with her head down and her clothes lying beside her.  She told him that she was very sad because she did not wake up early enough to say goodbye to grandma and go with to the airport, Poor thing.
On Friday, Jay, CJ and I went and put together my classroom and I think that it is almost ready for me to start work on Tuesday.  I am so not ready to go back I just feel like I did not have a vacation at all this summer.
