Thanksgiving

I have finished up all my papers, just have to have Jay check over one of it and then I need to email it to my professor and I will be done.  I have been working on getting my graduation invitation out, which is a very nice feeling.

CJ auditioned and got the part of Mrs. Claus in the school 2nd grade play.  I am so proud of her because she will have one of the biggest parts.  She has been practicing her lines and she is really cute.  I have to got her a red Christmas dress yet, because she needs that for the play. The dress that I got her while we were camping will not work.  But she loves that pokadot dress and how it is big and spins with her.  If it is clean she wears it.

CJ had one birthday party for an old friend of hers from girl scouts.  It was very nice to see the family we had not seen them in a while. It was a skating party and CJ even tried to do the limbo.  I was so proud.

CJ had an assignment for school were she had to watch the weather report and tell how they talked about wind.  CJ knows that I always watch the news in the morning before she gets up for school.  So she told me that she had to sleep in my bed with me so that she could get up with me in the morning and watch the news.  I told her that she did not have to sleep with me and that she could watch the news when she got up.  She said no she really had to sleep with me so that she could get up because this was an assignment for school.  I think that she just really like to sleep in the bed with me.

Jay had to work for Thanksgiving and his brother was not going to come down this year so we decided that we were not going to have a Thanksgiving dinner and were not going to do anything.  CJ said that we had to have turkey and she even wake up in the morning saying that this was the day that we eat turkey.  So Jay and I bought a whole chicken, called it a turkey and had a small Thanksgiving dinner. Jay and I were really glad that we were not making a big meal and we did not have family over because Wednesday night out plumbing backed up and we ended up with an inch of water all over the house.  It was so bad.  Jay tried to fix it but it was just too bad.  We cleaned up the water and Jay the next day called a plumber.  Calling a plumber on Thanksgiving which was not fun, but he came and fixed the plumbing.  I was so thankful to have bathrooms and shower back.  It was a Thanksgiving to be very grateful for plumbers and no company at the house. I was grateful that the dinner did not take all day to cook.  It was mostly right out of a box, which was ok.  I also got my floors hand mopped and all the furnisher moved and washed behind, so that was one thing off my list.  I just did not mean to get it done yesterday.
