Busy Month

It has been over a month since I have written.  We have been busy and I have been very tired lately.  For Jay and my birthday we went up to Charlotte.  We got a hotel with a pool so CJ had a lot of fun swimming.  We were not sure that we were going to make it up there because of all the snow.  It was cold and there was still snow on the ground but the roads were just fine.  CJ and I went shopping at the mall and bought a bunch of new clothes.  Jay had fun at the Bass Pro Shop.

We then came home to Girl Scout Cookies.  We had to sort 200 boxes of cookies.  We only did 2 cookie booths.  CJ has fun doing cookies booth, but this year I did not.   By the end of the booth time I think that we were both very tired.

During girl scouts we made cookies and did swaps.  We also went to the Girl Scout Birthday Bash.  It was a beautiful day that day so I took the bike to work and pick CJ up on it.  She said she was happy to be riding the bike again and even asked her dad to take her to school on the bike that morning.  I can not wait for all the cool weather to be over and it to be warm everyday.

On my birthday Jay surprised me with a cake and balloons.  It was so much fun.  He then took me to dinner that night.  I could not have asked for a better birthday.

We entered CJ in a BBQ contest called Kids Q.  She it is the first weekend in May and CJ is going to be cooking chicken legs on the grill.  So to get her ready we have been teaching her how to cook chicken legs.  She is loving cooking us dinner and learning so much about BBQing.  She really is enjoying grilling and is so excited about this up coming competition.

This weekend we went to the American girl doll club meeting.  CJ meet some girls that she did not know but it was their first time at the meeting. She took them around everywhere and showed them where everything was.  It was fun watching her just jump in and make new friends.  She wore her dress I made her and everyone thought it was so pretty.

Today was the Purim Carnival at temple.  This year’s theme was super heroes.  CJ at first did not know what she wanted to be.  So I told her to call her grandpa Kurt he know all the super heroes and could find a girl super hero that she would like.  So she called him and they had fun talking about super heroes.  In the end, she decided on Cat woman.  I made her a pair of crocheted cat ears and got her a mask and gloves.  She was so excited about wearing her costume and it looked so good.  She loves dressing up. She wore the ears around the house all week before Purim.  She has now decided that she is going to be Cat woman for Halloween.

Ellie and CJ are still having Skype play dates a couple of times a week.  CJ and Ellie got into their first argument about what to play.  You would never know that they were not in the same room and I told CJ that she needed to work it out with Ellie on her own or she had to get off Skype.  Getting off the computer was not an option for both of them so it was neat to watch them try to work on their problem.  These play dates are so good for CJ.     Ellie maybe far away but the two cousins are becoming so close.
