After school got out the fun of the holidays continued. On Saturday CJ had a Tea Party for her American
Girl Club. The tea party was very
beautiful and CJ after they had activities at the museum. CJ did
crafts, had an indoor snow ball fight with pompoms, and listened to an author
read his book.
That night we went down to the park to see the Christmas
light and Santa. While we were there
they had a horse drawn carriage. So I
took Mom and CJ for a ride in the carriage. Then we went a saw Santa.
On Sunday night they had the Menorah lighting in downtown Greenville . CJ and I had never been, so we took mom and went. I was nervous about parking and finding the
place but we made it with no problems. We all had fun. Mom ate latkes and donuts we listen to music,
CJ watched a magic show, but CJ’s favorite part was the fire dancers at the
end. She did not want to leave until the
show was over.
Monday we went shopping to get Jay
something for Christmas. On the way out
of the store CJ stopped at the red kettle get money out of her own wallet and
donated a dollar. I was so proud of
her. I have never seen a 9 year old so generous. I told her what she did was so great. She told me that she now what the red kettle
was for and that it helped poor people.
CJ is such an amazing kind child.
Christmas came and CJ was so happy. As her big gift she got a Ipad Mini. She has not put it down. Mom stayed for Christmas and I think that she
really liked being here and seeing a child’s Christmas morning.
Monday we went to Georgia
to see Garrett .
Jay bought him a bunch of groceries and
we gave him some money for Christmas. We
then took him to lunch and hung out at the Bass Pro shop for a bit before we
drove back home.
On Tuesday we then drove up to North
Carolina to the camp ground that Uncle Tom was
staying at so that Jay , CJ, and Uncle Tom could
go medal detecting. It was cold so they
were not out very long. We found a new
campground that we will try in the spring.
It was another long drive day, so today the last day of the year we are
going to stay home and rest. Maybe
tomorrow we will have another adventure.
This has been a good year and I can not wait for next years
adventures.
