The month of February went by so fast I do not even then
that I had time to blink. Lots happened,
the first part of the month I got sick and had to have some minor surgery. The surgery went fine and I felt so much
better after, but I had to take 2 weeks off of work. Getting ready to take the time off was not
easy, I had to get two weeks of lesson plans done and try to explain how my
classroom ran. While I was off work I
was able to get some crocheting done and spend some time with CJ. I got to pick her up from school every day
and I even went to lunch with her at school one day. She was so excited about me getting to come
to lunch. I liked being able to work
with her on her homework in the evening without being so tired.
We here at home are still on our healthy kick and Jay and I
are losing weight. CJ has started to do
some of the walking with us. The first
couple of time CJ complained a lot but it was very quick that she was able to
keep up and did not complain so much.
She still does not like not having deserts on the weekday, but she is
not complaining about that so much as well.
She is just happy for Wednesday’s and Hebrew school when they have
desert. We had several snow days this
year but no real snow, so Hebrew school got cancelled two weeks in a row. This whole month has been crazy with weather.
We missed 3 days of school. 2 because of an ice storm and I because they
thought it was going to snow and did not.
One of the days that CJ had a two hour delay by school did not so CJ had
to come to school with me for the morning.
She loved being at my school and did not what to leave. Almost all the way back to her school she did
not want to talk to be because she was upset about having to go and not being
able to stay with me.
At temple we had our annual Ice Cream Sadar. CJ loved having all that ice cream especially
with us not having treats at home. She
was very mature about it though. She did
not over indulge and make herself sick.
She did try to bring me ice cream and it was so hard for me to say no,
but I did.
CJ’s 4th grade Hebrew school got to do the Kids
service and CJ picked 2 parts to do that had a lot of Hebrew. I was one proud momma. CJ begged Jay to come and he did which made
her so happy.
For Jay’s birthday, we went did not do much. We went to Chick-Fil-A for Lunch and made him
a nice dinner.
CJ had her American girl Doll club meeting and Jay went with
us so that he could check out the museum.
He heard a song while he was there called “Goober Peas” he loved the
song and then was on a mission to find out what a goober peas was (Peanuts). He
thought that was so cute because he calls CJ his little goober. So he is just calling her is little peanut.
My birthday
was the best. I told Jay that
they only thing that I wanted for my birthday is not to have to clean my house.
So without me knowing he used up his floating holiday. Stayed home and cleaned
my whole house, including doing the Laundry and taking the garbage out. That
was just Friday, we then went and got me new shoes for working out. The next morning Jay made me breakfast, gave
me a new computer, and then that night we went to dinner at a very nice
restaurant. The restaurant did not have a
children’s menu and CJ was such a lady the whole time we were there. Jay even told her he was surprised about what
a good little lady she was acting like.
She told him that she now how to act right when she had to. After dinner we came home and had ice cream
and Girl Scout cookies instead of cake.
CJ also gave me 2 crochet books that I love.
That
Sunday after my birthday Jay went to Georgia to get a grill. Before he left he asked CJ if she wanted to
go with him because he was going to also go see her brother. She told him that she would like to go but
that she had Hebrew school and could not miss it and get behind in her
studies. Jay and I were both so
impressed with how mature she was. She
is just an amazing child. I am just so
proud of how she is turning out.
