Shalomfest

CJ may not have been able to make it to her All district spring sing but she was good to go for her School Spring sing.  She played recorder and sang with her Choir.  She loves being in the Choir and singing.

April she had Shalomfest CJ and I were asked to help with the book table.  CJ did not stay at the book table long before the bouncy houses took her attention.  I took care of book table the whole time except during the times that CJ was singing in the choir.  During that time I run out to watch her sing. She did really well during the first performance, but got over heated from playing in the bouncy house.  When she went in to try to sing she was so over heated that she was sick to her stomach. I had her sit down off stage and drink a bottle of water.  In the cool of the room and drinking water she started to feel a little better and wanted to get back up on stage to sing.  Everyone was worried about her and told her they would let her sit if she needed to.  She did not want to sit on the stage and she worked hard to get over being sick so that she could sing.  I did not get to see much of Shalomfest because I was at the book table the whole time.  We did eat and I was able to walk around in the gym a little.

As spring set in Jay and I started to talk about the fact that we had not taken a Motorcycle ride as a family in a while. It inspired us to check tire pressures and head out for a family ride and dinner at Pizza House of Powdersville for some fine Italian food. The shadows were long as the sun was setting and the breeze was cool.  Jay usually has their "house special" pizza, but this time opted for the veal perm and I had the cheese ravioli. Which was not as good as our usuals but the services was great and the ride was very nice.
